Miniatura raffigurante una scena di corte con notabile seduto in terrazza su un tappeto floreale e appoggiato ad un cuscino con sfondo lilla. La composizione è sbilanciata a sinistra per la presenza di un servitore con scacciamosche, mentre lo sfondo è diviso a metà: in basso il pavimento il cui colore riproduce presumibilmente il marmo bianco tipico delle architetture Mogul alla cui tradizione di ritratti cortesi si ispira anche questo dipinto- ; in alto lo sfondo verde chiaro derivante dalla produzione tipica della zona del Deccan.

Miniature depicting a court scene with a nobleman seated on a terrace on a floral carpet and leaning on a cushion with a lilac background. The composition is unbalanced to the left due to the presence of a servant with a flyswatter, while the background is divided in half: at the bottom the floor, the colour of which presumably reproduces the white marble typical of Mogul architecture – from whose tradition of courtly portraits this painting is also inspired -; at the top the light green background derived from the typical production of the Deccan area.
